Pastor in Microsoft 'gay rights' share bid

yep, this is definately one tough dude, finally some guys are standing up for what they belive in,he is one of the few

A black conservative Christian pastor of an evangelical megachurch has vowed to take over Microsoft by packing it with new shareholders who will vote against the company's policy of championing gay rights.
The Reverend Ken Hutcherson, a former Dallas Cowboys linebacker, heads the Antioch Bible Church in Redmond, home of Microsoft.

He told Microsoft executives at a shareholders' meeting last week that he would be their "worst nightmare" if they continued to defy him.

Antioch Bible Church attracts around 3,500 worshippers for its services and Mr Hutcherson is a powerful figure in the Christian conservative movement.

His church, which emphasises racial diversity and a strict moral code, grew from a bible study class for just 15 people in 1984.

An advocate of a "biblical stance" against divorce and homosexuality, Mr Hutcherson, 55, is asking millions of evangelical activists, as well as Orthodox Jewish and other allies, to buy up Microsoft shares and demand a return to traditional values.

Microsoft, he declares, will be just the first company targeted in an escalation of the culture wars between evangelicals and corporate America.

"There are 256 Fortune 500 companies alone pouring millions upon millions of dollars into pushing the homosexual agenda," he told The Daily Telegraph.

"I consider myself a warrior for Christ. Microsoft don't scare me. I got God with me.

"I told them that you need to work with me or we will put a firestorm on you like you have never seen in you life because I am your worst nightmare. I am a black man with a righteous cause with a whole host of powerful white people behind me."

Mr Hutcherson's office is decorated with the heads of deer, elk and a buffalo – "when I run into animals, I kill them and bring them home and eat them" – as well as invitations to the White House and signed pictures of himself with President George W. Bush.

His ambitious plan signals a new offensive in his two-year battle with Microsoft after it abandoned its neutral stance on gay rights legislation, which he says he helped secretly negotiate before outraged gay employees intervened.

By trying to become a political player in Washington state, he said, the company was trying to impose its sinful ways on others.

"Microsoft stepped out of their four walls into my world so that gives me the right to step out of my world into their world," he said.

"They tried to turn their policy into state policy, making their policy something I had to submit to. And my playbook [the bible] tells me you don't submit to sin."

Microsoft has some 79,000 employees in 102 countries and an annual revenue of more than £25 billion.

Mr Hutcherson said that this made it a Goliath to his David but he insisted that he could call on enough Christian foot soldiers to win.

"I don't care how big Microsoft is," he said. "They are nothing but a feather in the wind of God. America basically got started with a tea party and Goliath, if I'm not mistaken, got taken down by David, who believed in the same cause I believe in.

"I'm going to go after the new Goliath with one little rock called a share and I'm going to make them tremble before we get through."

At the shareholders' meeting, Brad Smith, Microsoft's general counsel, said it was up to shareholders to continue their longstanding support of Microsoft's diversity policy, which includes an internal "affinity employee group" called the Gay and Lesbian Employees At Microsoft (GLEAM).

Mr Hutcherson, who grew up in segregated Alabama and played football to "hurt whites" before he became a Christian, believes homosexuality is a sin rather than a biological phenomenon.

He rejects comparisons between the black civil rights movement and calls for gay rights.

"How many homosexuals have you ever seen had to ride on the back of a bus? I haven't seen one. I know that many blacks have in the past.

"I've never seen an ex-black. Michael Jackson couldn't even achieve that. But I've seen ex-gays. We minister to them every day. We talk to them about how to get out of that sin."

Emptiness

Well, of recent been feeling a bit empty,it comes once in a while,it kind of makes me reflect about purpose and stuff, but this time it comes with this overwhelming sense of boredom not that i dont have much to do,hve so much i need to get done, but the drive just aint there, must have burnt out, with a year of hard work, but well have to get back on course soonor i might lose too much any while researching wath emptiness means came across some stuff.

i would not call this exactly a christian perspective

Emptiness as a human condition is described as a feeling of numbness, inability to feel anything emotionally, or not having any purpose. It can be better described as a situation where a certain lack or lacks in one's life overtake the emotional and mental focus in an obsessive, sometimes subconscious manner. Feelings of emptiness often accompany chronic discontent, dysthymia, [1] depression, loneliness, despair, or other mental/emotional disorders such as borderline personality disorder. It may seek expression through different types of self-harming behaviors, and in more extreme cases, suicide.

Emptiness often involves alienation, be it temporary or acquired, and sometimes self-hatred. Persons tending to feel emptiness often come from problematic familial backgrounds. If at all there was a family nucleus, their needs were ignored, they were considered second class, they experienced many separations, or there was outright abuse [2][3] (see also the role of childhood abuse in BPD individuals).

A sense of emptiness is not always associated as such, and may be part of a natural process of grief, as resulting of separation, death of a loved one, or other significant changes to one's life.

[edit] Dealing with emptiness

Some people may find psychotherapy beneficial. Self-occupation is important if the afflicted person is to hold off the negative effects, and avoid the natural aggravation of the untreated emotion.[citation needed]

In cases of unemployed individuals, getting into the work market may help them enrich their lives, although pitfalls such as in the case of depression may prevent them from mustering the efforts of searching for a job. In such cases it is advisable to seek professional job placement help. Governmental agencies may offer help in this domain as well.

Other solutions possible are:

* Getting a pet - it has been found that often pets are able to ease the sense of emptiness or loneliness. [4][5] See also Animal-Assisted Therapy.
* Spiritualism - some people may find spiritual fulfillment or inner peace.
* Volunteering also fills the time and brings social contact.
* Engaging in any social interaction.

from the christan angle the best way to deal with emptiness......................

Do you feel empty? Is there something lacking? Do you long for something but don't quite know what it is? Are you longing for fulfillment? Are you unsatisfied with the daily routine of work, or school, or whatever? Maybe when you are by yourself and you look deep inside, you just don't feel content. Something is missing. Maybe you've discovered that indulging the desires of your flesh and mind have not produced the peace and tranquility that you need.
When I was younger I sought many things to replace God. I tried to identify with something, a cause, a philosophy, even a look. I was seeking an identity. For a while those things where entertaining and even exciting. But ultimately, the same emptiness came back. I can remember one night I was looking for something to break the boredom. I watched the people around me as they were pursuing the same thing I was and suddenly I realized how futile and empty it all was. I realized that if I got what I wanted I would still be unsatisfied. I wanted more than the same old thing. I wanted something that wouldn't leave me feeling empty after a little while. I wanted something real. Somehow, I knew I could only be satisfied by encountering God and finding His purpose.
In His great mercy, God has touched me. In the midst of my sin, in spite of pursuing my fleshly desires, He came to me and healed my heart. Emptiness is no longer my companion. In fact, it is so unfamiliar to me that I can barely remember what it was like. Now, I have peace, contentment, and fulfillment because I have found salvation and fellowship with God. This fellowship is found in Christ. "God is faithful through whom you are called into fellowship with his son, Jesus Christ," (1 Cor. 1:9). When you find Christ and his salvation, you discover your purpose and you find your hope fulfilled.

Good bye emptiness.

ANCIENT OF DAYS

i call this christian nostalgia, lovely worship MAN!!! those were the days.

Ted Bundy's Life Story

This material is very graphic and unsuitable for anyone under the age of 18. Also, anyone who has struggled with mixing violence and sex should not read this.
Who was Theodore (Ted) Bundy?

Ted BundyHe was an honor student, volunteer, young republican, and a local hero...

In his early years Ted Bundy was an all-around nice guy. He volunteered for the Republican Party and in his early years he also managed a suicide hotline. He had a degree in psychology from the University of Washington, where he graduated with honors, and he went to law school in Salt Lake City. Ted was well liked by the people with whom he worked and also by his professors. He even saved a young boy from drowning once, and was hailed in his hometown newspaper as a "hero."

But things changed. Here is Ted Bundy's own description of how he changed.

"I wasn't some guy hanging out in bars, or a bum. I wasn't a pervert in the sense that people look at somebody and say, 'I know there's something wrong with him.' I was a normal person. I had good friends. I led a normal life, except for this one, small but very potent and destructive segment that I kept very secret and close to myself. Those of us who have been so influenced by violence in the media, particularly pornographic violence, are not some kind of inherent monsters. We are your sons and husbands. We grew up in regular families. Pornography can reach in and snatch a kid out of any house today. It snatched me out of my home 20 or 30 years ago."

Ted Bundy brutally raped and murdered these girls and numerous others.

Lisa Levy was the first girl that officers found dead. Pathologists who later performed the autopsy on her found that she had been beaten on the head with a log, raped and strangled. Upon further examination, they discovered bite marks on her buttocks and on one of her nipples. In fact, Lisa's nipple had been so severely bitten that it was almost severed from the rest of her breast. She had also been sexually assaulted with a hair spray bottle.

Kimberly LeachOn February 9th, 1978, Lake City Police received a phone call from the distressed parents of twelve-year-old Kimberly Leach. They were hysterical and said that their daughter had disappeared that day. Police were to launch a massive search to find the missing girl, who disappeared from her school grounds. The person who last saw her was her friend Priscilla Blakney. In fact, she saw Kim get into the car of a stranger the day she disappeared. Unfortunately, she was unable to accurately remember the car or the driver. They found her body eight weeks later in a state park in Suwannee County, Florida. The young girl's body yielded little information due to advanced decomposition.

The last victim. Kimberly Leach disappeared form Lake City, Florida on Februrary 9, 1978. She was 12 years old.

The great Porn Problem and XXXchurch

I think craig is doing a good job, what most people dont have the courage to do,check out XXXchurch.com,along came the web and then its curse-porn.

XXXchurch.com is a Christian anti-pornography website that aims to help those who struggle with pornography. Its target are those who are consumers and those in pornographic industry. The website, which claims to be the "#1 Christian Porn Site", launched in January 2002 when the founders, Mike Foster and Craig Gross, set up a booth inside the Las Vegas Adult Expo to promote the website and an alternative to porn. They annually attend shows worldwide. [1]
A founder of XXXchurch.com, Craig Gross, regularly debates with porn star Ron Jeremy in an event called The Porn Debate. In the summer of 2007, the duo will embark on a theatre tour. [citation needed]

The organization gives its vision as:

"XXXchurch is the #1 Christian porn site designed to bring awareness to the porn problem. From the United States, Australia, Asia, and Europe, XXXchurch is a movement of people and ministries putting accountability to those struggling with porn and those calling porn a career."

An interview with the pastors

JUSTIN's TESTIMONY(Porn and pancakes)

The PORN DEBATE

WHAT IS IT TO DENY CHRIST?

some time a month ago i was kind of looking for some rapture sermons on God tube when i came across a video on God tube where i saw some guys(clergy, pastors,Bishop) denying that christ is the only esway. Was really surprised to hear that there was other ways to heaven than jesus.but christ states
clearly according to 'John 14:6-Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'

(sounds like some new twisted doctrine)

All will agree that to deny the Lord Jesus Christ is to be as lost as lost can be. But exactly what is it to deny Christ? How could so many in this world who profess a love for Him and who boldly proclaim, ‘JESUS IS LORD’, possibly be denying Him? Surely it is enough to believe that if one has a love for Jesus, one could in no way be a denier of Him? One man has written clearly about this: “To deny the Lord may be either to deny his existence, his claims, or his attributes; it is to withhold from Him, in our belief and our profession, anything which is essential to a proper conception of him…it is plain that any doctrine which represented him, his Person, or his Work, as essentially different from what was the truth, would amount to such a denial.” These are very sound words indeed and clear teaching as to what it is to deny Christ, yet this man himself was a denier of Christ, for many of the doctrines he believed and taught about Jesus Christ the Lord were false. To deny the true Savior is to be a believer in false teachings about Him and about how He saves. To deny Christ is to not believe God’s Testimony of what He has done on the cross and for whom He has done it. To not know Christ is to deny Him, which is to say, to not know THE TRUTH about Christ, who He is and what He has done, is to deny Him. When Christ referred to people believing in Him, He was not including those who believed wrong teachings about Him, but those who believed right doctrines, which correctly identify and define Him and which distinguish Him from all others. How can one bring glory to the Father if one holds to erroneous teachings concerning His Son? And how, praytell, can anyone know Christ by holding to teachings which the Father has not Authored! All professing Christians say they love Jesus. They claim a great love for Him and hunger for His words and teachings. Yet, as with those in Matthew 7, the Lord Jesus will Himself declare to them all that He never knew them. The Lord Jesus Christ does not know those who do not know Him. Those who do know Him evidence this fact by believing the truth about Him and not lies, or some vile mixture of both. Those who do not know Christ are revealed by the false doctrines they believe about Him. The Lord Jesus Christ does not have fellowship with those who do not know Him, He does not call them brethren, because these people C whether they know it or not, whether they believe it or not C are in actual fact deniers of Him. Many people can attest to knowing ‘John’, but is the John they know the one you know? Some do know the John you know, but most know another who is called John and not the one you know. This simple example brings us back to the familiar subject of doctrine – the true and the false. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that false doctrine has never, does never, and will never describe or define the true Jesus, but always and only a false one. And true doctrine, that which has been Authored by God and recorded in His Holy Word, has always, does always, and will always be the only teachings that describe accurately and precisely who the true Jesus is, and importantly, distinguish Him from all others. It is doctrine that defines who the true Messiah is, and that which will ALWAYS distinguish Him from the false. And it is belief of false doctrine concerning Christ that is the defining factor, the very telling and revealing element, that will always reveal a person as a denier of Him. TO DENY THE TRUTH ABOUT THE TRUE JESUS IS A DENIAL OF JESUS HIMSELF! Believe the true Gospel and you have the true Jesus. But believe a gospel which contains any straying from the truth and you have a false gospel, a false christ, another jesus, which reveals you to be, in reality, a denier of Christ. To deny Christ is to deny the truth about Christ. To deny Christ is to deny that He was sent to the earth as a man to die for the sins of all God’s sheep. To deny Christ is to believe He died for all people and not the elect of God only. To deny Christ is to believe lies about His atonement C WHO IT WAS FOR AND WHAT IT ACCOMPLISHED. To deny Christ is to not believe the truth about Christ C Who He is, what He has done and for whom He has done it. Believe the Gospel, Christ said, not a false gospel. In other words, believe the truth about Me, not lies. One can believe genuinely in one’s heart that one holds the truth about a matter, but if, when held up to the light of truth, those beliefs are revealed to be false, then no matter the genuineness, no matter the sincerity, with which those beliefs are held, one can never be said to be a holder of truth. In fact, until those lies are denied, rejected and repented of, and the real and only truth embraced, one is a denier of truth, and in this case, a denier of the very Lord they claim to believe. The preceding article, and the one which follows, are pertinent to this message and we encourage you to read them and to pass this newsletter on to others whom you know are deniers of Christ, though professing to be lovers and promoters of Him

Biography of tye tribbett

Here i really got curious about tye tribbett and decided to check up on his biography, hoping it could encourage some one here.........................go it from his web site

BIO

Tye Tribbett & G.A.
Victory

This is a hard-fought Victory. It is important to Tye Tribbett & Greater Anointing that you first understand that. And that in order to have a Victory you must go through a fight. A conflict. “This is basically about spiritual warfare,” Tye says of the follow-up to their 2004 Sony Urban Music debut, Life. “And the way we fight is not against flesh and blood, but principalities. We fight with our praise. This is an all-out attack against the enemy with praise and worship.”

To get to this Victory, it took strength. How else would you describe the courage to start off this live CD making such demands? “Come out of depression,” he orders over the soaring horn section and bare-boned, go-go beat of the title track. “Come out of low self-esteem, come out of poverty!” Wow! With what else, other than strength, could one confront the enemy himself? “You may have thought you won that last round,” G.A. begins on “I Want It All Back.” “But it’s not over…you’ve got some things I think you owe me. I’ve come back to get back everything that you stole. I want it all back!”

“I’m stepping to the enemy,” Tye says with delight. “Some church folk are scared to fight these things. But I feel like we come in the spirit of David - This young boy who knew how to praise and worship. The Bible says David ran to meet the Philistine! He ran to Goliath! We’re saying, ‘Devil, we’re not scared of you!’ It’s a very, very, bold, BOLD song. And I love that!” At the same time however, this Victory took surrendering to God.

When talking about “Sinking,” Victory’s, instant classic and centerpiece, Tye can’t hide his excitement. “This is an old school song. When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he has done for me, that’s how it starts. It reminds me of when G.A. first started and people were kind of looking at us like we were buck wild. Like, ‘Don’t have this group around your church!’ This is a song, ‘When I think of the goodness of Jesus,’ that I can perform at those churches. Early on I thought I was setting them up though. But God was setting me up, because it means so much to me now.”

“I know you’re dressed up tonight and you look good,” Tribbett says to his live audience. “But anybody remember when they were sinking? Lot of preachers are preaching but ‘Sinking.’…Prophesying - ‘Sinking.’ Playing the organ -‘Sinking.’ Playing the drums -‘Sinking.’” Then comes the line, “I’m the son of a pastor, so you know, I thought as long as I went to church I was cool…but the Bible says, ‘Take heed unless you [thud!].’”

You know the sound of surrender, don’t you? Surely it’s something like “G.A. Hymn,” where Aaron and Angie of G.A. take the lead and sweetly remind us of how good it feels to really know God. And of course you know why you should surrender? Well, as Tye Tribbett & G.A. put it, you have “No Other Choice.” “This is a song that I wrote after my uncle and a young man in the choir passed,” shares Tye. “Men who were like my father and like my son passed within a month’s time. And it was like ‘Whoa.’ Like, ‘What are you doing here God?’ And these were two good guys. They weren’t wilding out, cursing and drinking. They were like pillars in my life. So I was seriously thinking like, ‘Should I give up and just go crazy or trust?’ Trust that he knows what he’s doing. You may not understand it sometimes, especially when children die, and things happen to innocent babies, but you have to trust him. We have ‘No Other Choice.’”

Finally, it took the good sense of Tye Tribbett & G.A to realize that in all of these things, you celebrate. Not that these wild-limbed wonders have ever had any trouble with that. It’s what first attracted the Camden, N.J ensemble to Country music superstar Faith Hill, who took Tye Tribbett & G.A. on the road with her back in 2000. It’s what still attracts major R&B and Hip-Hop forces like Usher, Mary J. Blige, Missy, Will Smith, Ciara, Common, Jill Scott and Omarion, with whom Tye Tribbett & G.A. have shared their mutual respect. It’s what you’ve seen in Tye Tribbett & G.A.’s many performances on the BET Awards, the NAACP Image Awards and the Stellar Awards. It’s what you hear in “Seated at the Right Hand of God.” It’s what compels you out of your when you hear “Still Have Joy,” an uproarious, in the aisle, shaking, shouting, clapping, and can’t-sit-down-even-though-everyone’s-staring-and-the-song-was-over-five-minutes-ago, celebration.

“I just believe that this album is a praise and worship album,” Tye concludes. “It is Kingdom music. I don’t categorize it as Gospel, Christian, or Gospel Hip-Hop. It is not directed toward one race of people or one genre. It’s universal. We represent the Kingdom.”

“The last album was dealing with life and situations. Songs like “There’s An Answer For You,” this album, it’s like maaaaaaan — let’s worship! And it’s important now because this culture is so crazy. They’ve got hip-hop on their minds. Sex on their minds. So much on their minds. And we’re trying to put praise in the mouths of this generation. Because we’ve been through it also: So much pain, so many questions, and now — Hallelujah, our triumph.” All to bring us closer to God.

This is Tye Tribbett & G.A.’s Victory. And now, it is yours.

Victory

here i got this video of tye tribett live of one of my person favorites "victory" and a small write up by christian campbell on Victory.

Victory!

This past Sunday as I was racing around the house trying to get ready to go to church (why can you never find a matching pair of socks on a sunday morning??) I was watching a local ministry that is broadcast on TV. I'm not going to mention any names because I am not trying to attack any person or ministry but the teaching. This is not the only ministry that teaches this either so do not think I am attacking a particular church either. The teaching that I saw though disturbs me greatly because on one hand it can be beneficial, but on the other it can be so very detrimental. I'll explain this point in a minute. The teachings are those of leading and/or achieving a victorious life by realizing that God wants us to be prosperous, that God wants us to be victorious. Now it can be beneficial because it can help people improve their lives by seeking God. The feel good sermons brings them to church every Sunday and gives them doses of brotherly love each week. It also attracts hundreds of new members due to it's message of hope of a better life.

On the other hand there is little to no Bible teaching done, and the verses that are used in the sermon are taken out of context to fit the sermon. The teachings taking place seem to be the same that you might find at a motivational conference, and have, I'm sure, improved many life's. Is that enough? Is it correct? Does God want us to have a victorious and prosperous life?

I was a member at a church like this for a few months before I left due to a lack of Bible teaching. I was starving to learn about the Bible and there was only classes and sermons on improving your self-esteem, breaking addiction, or handling money problems. Now, I have no problems with a church offering these classes or even teaching about these types of subjects during a sermon but it should not be the main focus, and there must be correct handling of the Bible.

I can understand why the proponents of this type of church support it. They want to show the love of the Lord by helping others, and truthfully there are so many out there that are suffering that need help. Ministries like this can really be a God send to those that are looking for answers and help in improving their lives. It is so great that there are churches that take such an active role in helping them find their answers but it must be done in a balanced manner. I'll give you an illustration that I have always used to allude to these type of ministries. By eating a constant diet of feel good foods, or junk foods (Zingers, mmmm) you may please your taste buds but the rest of your body will suffer. It will not get the nutrition that you need to grow, and you will become weak and unprepared. However, if you eat a balanced diet of healthy foods you will grow strong, and have a healthy body. Maintaining a strict diet of feel good teaching may make you feel good and be easier to listen to than other churches but what will be the consequences to your spiritual growth. You will be weak and have stunted growth. A good balance of bible teaching, and life application messages are necessary for a balanced spiritual life.

So as a Christian are we going to live a victorious life? In a manner of speaking, yes. Our victory is Christ's death on the cross which defeated the sting of death. A victorious life is not success, prosperity, or happiness but freedom from the condemnation of sin and the availability of the Holy Spirit to power a Christ-like life. Because of His victory we are free to grow and mature and prosper spiritually. So, does that mean God wants us to suffer in poverty and abuse? Of course not, God loves us and hurts to see us suffer. That's why we have the church, our fellow Christians, and the promise of His imminent return. So while I applaud the efforts made by these ministries I can't help but cringe when I hear the constant feel good teaching and hope that their members will eventually be lead to sound Bible teaching. What do you think?
